Swimming

Sweet girl
I am not so sure about this swimming thing

Splashing :)
blowing bubbles
having fun :)
Why am I wearing shorts in the water?

Today was a beautiful day for a swim. Tiana has been bugging me for a swimming pool since she went swimming with her cousins last week. So yesterday we bought a kiddie pool with a slide. I put water in it late yesterday evening and she insisted on getting in. The water was very cold, but she and Connor played in it for about 30 minutes. Fast forward to this morning, the first thing out of her mouth was " I go swimming, mommy?" I told her she would have to wait a little while as it was too early and I needed to get a few things done inside first. During the course of the morning she must have ask at least 50 times. :) Finally it was time to go. She had a blast. Connor on the other hand is not so sure. He does not understand the concept of leaving his swimming suit on when he gets in the water, and it totally escapes him, once the suit is wet, why one would continue to wear it ;) Needless to say its going to take him some time to get use to this swimming thing. lol!!!!

Hope you enjoy todays photos. :)

Connor gets a haircut :)

CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Baba took Connor to get his first professional haircut in the US. Baba had been trimming his hair since we arrived home, but we decided he needed a professional touch. Baba said he did great. There was already a line when they arrived at the barber shop, so Connor got to watch with great interest as the other men and boys had theirs cut. When it was Connor's turn, Baba said he sat in the seat and was very brave. He was given plenty attention and praise as everyone looked on.

Mama was very pleased with the results. :)

Bill Bailey's Diner

JP and Myrtle
The Cooks
The Gangsters

The Banker
Ms Caboodle and her rowdy class
Limo Driver, the rich JP and Myrtle
Tiffany as the Limo Driver

Last night Tiffany's school put on a play called Bill Baileys Diner. Tiffany goes to a small Christian school and she has been practicing for the last few weeks. I was unsure how a small school would pull off this play. I have to say this was one of the best plays I have ever attended. The setting was a restaurant where the evening cleaning lady befriended a homeless person. She was always so kind to him, and her motto was "all we need is God's love". While everyone else in the restaurant would throw him out and look down upon him, she always fed and showed him love and kindness. The scenes in the program were both thought provoking and funny. We laughed so hard. Toward the end of the program JP had an aunt who left a big inheritance to him. He repaid Myrtle for her kindness by giving her a new wardrobe, car and home. Tiffany's part was the limo driver who got to tell Myrtle about the blessings being bestowed upon her her, for all her love and kindness she had shown toward JP.

We are so proud of Tiffany as she is moving from one stage in her life to another.

Way to go Tiff!! We love you!!

What an angel

Well, as you can see from the pics she looks as cute as ever. She was a little wiggle worm, so our hairstylist, Ruth had her work cut out for her, but I think she did a great job. :)

Sorry the pics are out of order but I am not sure how to rearrange them

OH MY!!! LOOK WHAT THING 3 DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mama look at all that hair!

A bad 80's do!
Mom I think I look cute! :)

OH MY!!! OH MY!!!! OH MY!!!!!! Tiana is so lucky she is my 3rd child, and I have been down this road before. I was in my room folding clothes and she had just finished dinner and was watching a little TV before bath time. Well from the looks of her hair the TV program must have been boring. Now you may be thinking what are scissors doing lying around the house, I promise you they were not. They were in a drawer in the kitchen. The little Miss is getting just a tad too independent and those scissors will be finding a new home up high immediately.

Her new hair do reminds me of a bad haircut from the early 80's, you know the ones that were short in the front and sides and then long in the back? While out of town this weekend I saw someone with the same cut and thought to myself "you mean people still wear that style" I think this was payback. lol!!!!! What makes it worse is our hair stylist is OFF ON WEDNESDAY'S so we have to wait until Thursday morning to TRY and shape up her hair. Be sure to check back on Thursday to see what new do she will be sporting. I told her its a good thing the weather is warm now, because her hair is gonna be short. :)

Where is the tequila, mama could use a drink. ;)

Waving at passing parade
Eating Cotton Candy for the first time
Nana blowing bubbles with Tiana and Connor

This weekend I took Tiana and Connor to visit with their great grandparents. It was the first time they met Connor. Nana and Papa divide their time between the farm and their home near the Houston area. This weekend they were at the farm. Tiana and Connor also got to spend time with some of their cousins. It is such a fun place to visit. They have ponds for fishing, walking trails, acres and acres of land to explore. If you get tired you can always sit on the porch and watch the many cows graze the day away.

While at the farm the town was having a dogwood festival, so Connor got to attend his first parade. I was afraid the noise would scare him, but he proved to be a trooper and waved at all the attactions passing by. Tiana, my little go with the flow angel loved it all. :)

Hope you enjoy the pics of our weekend. :)
